The American Library Association’s Banned Books Week ended Oct. 3. To mark the week, the Yahara Journal invited several instructors to record themselves reading excerpts from their favorite “Banned Books.”
The Yahara Journal has created an audio compilation of those readings and has shared them online. Instructors who participated in the compilation were: Matt Guenette, Mike Lussenden, Timothy Twohill, Anna Purnell, Virgil Miller and John Galligan.
In addition, the Yahara Journal is hosting an online panel discussion with some of the instructors on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. You can join us in WebEx for a discussion about banned books, their impact on society and their relation to identity. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask us to send you a link to the panel discussion.
If you have questions, please contact the Yahara Journal at email@example.com.
