Each educational institution that receives Federal funds (including Madison College) is required to hold an educational program about the U.S. Constitution for its students. There are three ways to participate in Constitution Day this year:
Presentation by Dr. Maurice Sheppard (Virtual)
Dr. Maurice Sheppard, political science instructor, has recorded a short presentation about the history & relevance of the US Constitution. Captions are included with the recording. Watch Dr. Sheppard’s presentation.
Constitution & Citizenship Day BINGO (Virtual)
Learn more about the Constitution and Bill of Rights, citizenship, and branches of government in this fun and interactive virtual BINGO event hosted by Dr. Justine Shuey. Events are live online and include a chance to win Amazon e-giftcards!

Coffee, Croissants, & Constitutions (In Person - Truax)
Student Life staff will be roaming the halls of the Truax Main Building on Friday, September 17 from 11 am – noon distributing free coffee, croissants, and copies of the US Constitution. Find us for your free coffee break and resources to learn more about the Constitution!
