Madison College now offers online therapy for students

Beginning July 1, Madison College is offering an online counseling platform in addition to the in-person and virtual services currently available through Counseling Services. The college has partnered with BetterMynd to offer private, online therapy sessions from a diverse network of licensed mental health counselors. Group workshops are also available. BetterMynd is specifically for college students, and typically you can schedule an appointment within just a couple days, if not sooner.

If you are 18+ years of age and are enrolled in college-level degree coursework (including developmental Math and English courses), you are eligible for three free 50-minute sessions with a BetterMynd counselor. (Those who are not eligible for free sessions can pay an $85 fee for each appointment.) You also are granted three free workshops with a wide range of topics from body image to anxiety to life transitions. You will continue to have access to in-person and virtual counseling services through the Counseling & College Success Department.

Eligible students include those who were enrolled in the Spring 2022 semester and/or are enrolled in Summer 2022. New students enrolling in Fall 2022 will be eligible at the start of the fall term. You will be notified via email each semester you are eligible for these services. To learn more about this new service, visit
