After clicking the link, and signing up for the "position", the scammer will send the individual a check for their payment; however, the check will be made out for more than the scammer said they would pay. The scammer will instruct the individual to send back the difference. After the individual sends the money back, the scammer's check will bounce, leaving the individual out the money that they "returned" to the scammer.
