Task

This is a very standard scam email. The scammer will pose as a high-level manager or other person of authority and send this email to a subordinate. After the subordinate responds, the scammer will then instruct them to go purchase a large number of gift cards and provide them with the redemption code. This scam can be easily identified by checking the email address of the sender, as well as confirming the instruction to purchase the cards through a means other than email (such as a phone call).
